Cuts both ways
People just can't resist the temptation to point out others shortcomings and weaknesses. It is such a relief for others to rip others apart just to forget their own problems and their own weaknesses. I read of a man whose in-laws were together for more than 5o years. When asked the secret to a long married life, the answer is to "…always bear in mind …because of her short comings…she could not find a better husband than you."After hearing his father-in-law talk about the secret to married life, he had no idea how tough it was to follow. I guess if all marriages had both partners thinking how lucky they were and not the other way around, there will be more people spending beyond 50th anniversary's together.
