What makes a great tasting cake?
Having time to mull over several thoughts of starting WW III, I came across a story about a daughter having a "why me???" day and sharing it with her mother. Seeing her daughter's situation, the mother offers cake. The daughter said she'd love some. To which her mother asked… how about some flour? Some raw eggs? Want some oil? As her mother rattled and offered her the different ingredients of the cake… puzzled, she declined. The mother was wise to point out that the ingredients make a great tasting cake. When we're too caught up in the smudges of dirt in our lives, we often forget the improvement it could mean to our lives.
The beauty of life is being able to live it with the strength and courage that a great tasting cake will come out of whatever 'yucky ingredients' come. Someone once told me…no one said it would be easy, but it will be worth it.
